Overview
Limelite is a macOS utility that highlights your cursor and provides presentation tools. It runs entirely on your Mac and is designed with privacy as a core principle.
Data Collection
Limelite does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
- No analytics or tracking of any kind
- No network requests — the app works fully offline
- No accounts or sign-in required
- No data sharing with third parties
Permissions
Limelite may request the following macOS permission:
- Input Monitoring — Used solely to detect modifier key combinations for the keystroke display feature. Regular typing is never recorded or stored. This permission is only requested when you enable keystroke display.
This permission is processed locally on your device. No input data ever leaves your Mac.
Local Storage
Your preferences (highlight color, size, style, etc.) are saved locally using macOS UserDefaults. This data stays on your Mac and is never transmitted anywhere.
Children's Privacy
Limelite does not collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.

If this policy is updated, the changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
